Jonathan Prosperi – Lead Instructor
Jonathan has been making and playing games since childhood, and has been designing learning games over the last three. After working as a teacher in a middle and high school, he now attends NYU’s Games for Learning program, where he is designing Cyberscape, a digital learning game meant to teach students about coding, computer science, and artificial intelligence. Jonathan’s interests include neuroscience, emotional design, and active learning. His favorite games include Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, and Portal.
Al Olsen – Coding & Unity Instructor
Al has over 15 years of professional experience on design and development of digital products that include web sites, web applications, mobile, and virtual reality. Al designed and taught a Video Game Production course for New York Film Academy and led this course from 2012 to 2016. Al has taught classes both in academic institutions in CUNY and NYU, as well as bootcamps such as New York Code and Design Academy. Al is currently a Doctoral student at NYU pursuing his interests in Learning Science, Music and Affective design.
Shashank Pawar – Coding & Game Design Instructor
Shashank is a game designer, developer, and researcher at CREATE lab. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Gujarat Technological University, a master’s degree in Games for Learning from NYU, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Communication and Technology at NYU. His game design work includes SMART: a suite of cognitive training games, and the award winning card game Killer Snails. You can find more about him at LudicScholar.com.
